He was predeceased by: his son Cody Allen Moser; his parents, Emerson Turpin and Ruby Turpin; and his brothers, James Garland Turpin (Imogene), Billy Joe Turpin (Mae), Tommy Turpin, Flynn Turpin (Carol), Ronnie Turpin and Lee Turpin (Buddy Turpin).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Hawk Turpin; his daughter Keri; his son-in-law Chris McCarter of Maryville; his grandchildren, Callie McCarter, Logan McCarter and Caitlyn Moser; his siblings, Mike Turpin (Regina) of Madisonville, Pam Turpin of Madisonville and Sandy Turpin of Athens; and his sister-in-law Judy Turpin of Madisonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
