He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harrison Gunter and Addie Cordelia Pace Gunter; and his siblings, James Junior Gunter, Bobby Ray Gunter, Bessie Gunter Cooper and Nina Mae Gunter.
He is survived by: his sons, Bradley (Toni Knight Gunter), Allen (Jamie Ehresman Gunter) and Jason (Andrea Mason Gunter); his grandchildren, Maxwell Gunter, Lynsey Gunter, Brooke Gunter and Nicholas Gunter; his siblings, Jack Gunter, Thelma Herr and Charlotte Williams; his mother-in-law Lula King; and his pet Sugar. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
