He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Bowers Atkins; his parents, Osborn Atkins (Obbie) and Imogene Atkins; and his sisters, Wanda (Charles Hunt) and Linda (Buddy Williams).
He is survived by: his daughter Denise; his son-in-law Stephen Self; and his grandchildren, Scarlett, Zach Sitzler and Colby.
