He was predeceased by: his son Mike Benson; his parents, Tom Benson and Susan Benson; his brother J. C. Benson; his mother-in-law Allene; and his grandmother Fish.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Benson; his daughter Sharon; his son-in-law Roger Mathis; his sons, Robin Benson, Joshua (Ashley Benson), Daniel (Kiera Benson) and Jeffrey (Lexy Benson); his grandchildren, Shea Cody, Robin Benson (Lil Rob), Hunter Benson, Kaleb Mathis, Blake Mathis, Abigail Benson, Genesis Benson, Ava Benson, James Asbury Benson (JC) and Emersyn Layne Benson; his great grandchildren, Brielle Cody and Tobias Cody; his sister Carolyn; his brother-in-law Lynn Benson; and his brothers, Randall (Wendy Benson) and Many. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
