She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Albert Friedmann, Jr. and Bessie Lee Tyler Friedmann; her former husband Chuck Barnes; and her grandson James Augustine "Gus" Vargason. She is survived by: her daughters, Penni Renee Partain Carter (Ed) and Maria Lynn Partain Vargason (Brett); her grandchildren, Caleb Alexander Carter, Ethan Edwin Carter, Victor Ambrose Vargason, Amelia Greer Vargason and Thomas Anselm Vargason; her siblings, Ann Marie Friedmann Luttrell, Robert Albert Friedmann, II (Donna) and John Henry Friedmann (Mignon); and her spouse Thomas Partain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
