He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Smithson and Elizabeth Beard Smithson; and his sister Ivy Berry. He is survived by: his brothers, Lee Hargrove of Dover, TN and Joe Hargrove of Mt. Juliet, TN. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
