He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Truman and Barbara Hiler Reed; and his brother Merlin Duane Reed. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Pewitt Reed; his son Brian Michael Reed (Sarah); his granddaughter Mackenzie Reed; and his siblings, Wanda Deloris Reed Eckerle, Marilyn Kay Reed Peters, Shirley Diane Reed Daughtridge, Phyllis Jean Reed Sartin, Marla Jane Reed Plemons, Jerry Herbert Reed and Dallis Eugene Reed.
