He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon B. Tanksley and Novella Hooberry Tanksley; his wife Jean Matthews Tanksley; and his brother Roy Tanksley. He is survived by: his sister Jane Tanksley Christiansen (Maurice Roland Christiansen). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
