He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Keathley and Ethel Mooneyham Keathley. He is survived by: his wife Mary Primm Keathley of Virginia; his sons, Kirk Keathley (Renee) and Kyle Keathley (Cindy); his brother Wayne Keathley; and his grandsons, Trevor Ryan Keathley and Halen Gillespie of Tennessee.

In lieu of floral tributes the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to The Samaritans Purse and Toys for Tots.
