He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlas Hampton and Mary Hampton; and his sister Carol "Crick" Light (Hampton). He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hampton; his children, Steve Hampton (Gabriela) of San Antonio, Texas, Denise Hart (Neal) of Joelton, Tennessee and Adam Hampton (Rhonda) of Joelton; and his siblings, Reita Crane (Hampton) of Nashville and Jimmy Hampton of Loudon.
