She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelby J. Hall and Sarah M. Jones Hall; her husband Harold Foy Short; her siblings, Shelby Hall, Jr. and Mary Toney; and her siblings-in-law, Sybil Dewhirst, Beth Ewing and Bill Short.
She is survived by: her children, Harold F. Short, Jr. (Vanessa), James L. Short (Carol), Ellen Baize (David) and Kathryn Smith (Lee); her sisters, Kathryn Wall and Edith Turner; and her sister-in-law Margaret Weaver. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
