He was predeceased by: his wife Marion R.; his parents, Louis Terlep and Mary Terlep; and his sisters, Margaret Stalzer (John), Helen Stalzer (Louis), Josephine Rositch (Fred), Frances Kodrick (Anthony), Rose Lousher (Joseph) and Agnes Kegley.
He is survived by: his children, Marion J. O'Brien (James) of Chatham, IL, Jo Lynn Pechek (Raymond) of Pueblo, CO, Sandra F. O'Brien (Barry) of New Lenox, IL and Joseph J. Sr. Terlep (Juliana) of Madison, TN.; his grandchildren, Jody Formea, Jenna Valentine (Jon), Raymond Pechek Jr (Kelli) and Joseph J. Jr.; his great grandchildren, Ryland Formea, Aurora James and Abigail Barber; and his stepgrandchild Brandon Alfrey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road Joliet, IL) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. favorite_border Donations Pledges.
