She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Payton Hawkins and Eliza Jane Smith Hawkins; her brother Charles G. Hawkins; and her daughter Mary Kathleena Daniels. She is survived by: her children, Carrie Stapleton (Barbara) of St. Petersburg, FL, Aurora Daniels (Chris) of Madison, TN, Michael Martin-Daniels (Heather) of Cookeville, TN and Danielle Bentley Veazey (David) of Spring Hope, NC.; her brother William Hawkins; her niece Kim of Brentwood, TN.; her great grandchild Dodo; and her friend Roland Richter.
A service will not be held at this time due to COVID, but the family hopes to have a celebration of life on Sunday, 22 August 2021, when hugging is, once again, the norm.
