With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edith Meriwether of Madison, Tennessee, born in Glasgow, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Edith left this world on October 15, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Zora Hazel Bowels and George Bruce Edwards; her husband Fuller "Toby" Meriwether; her children, Arnold Bunch and Gilda York; and her siblings, Lera Bishop, Herbert, Owen, Clarence, Howard, Frealin, Candor and Roger.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Letson; her sister Cora Bradford; and her grandchildren, Jamie Bunch, Mandy Wylie (John), Brandon Kiser (Leslee), Hubbell King, Trey York (Jaime) and Lindsay York. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216). An entombment was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216).
