He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy Elizabeth Gregory (Crowder) and Joseph Selton Gregory; his wife Linda Marie Gregory; his son Donnie Lee Gregory; his brother Joe Gregory, Sr.; and his grandsons, Jeffrey Michael Brooksher and Daniel Gregory.

He is survived by: his children, Douglas Gregory (Vicky) and Angie Printy (Joe); his grandchildren, Ashley Brooksher, Douglas Gregory, Jr., David Gregory (Dawn) and Donnie Lee Gregory, Jr.; his siblings, Jimmy Gregory and Janie Gregory; his daughter-in-law Vicky Gregory; his brothers-in-law, Ron Nimmo and Richard Nimmo; and his close friend Betty Hinsley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
