He was predeceased by: his children, Eunice McLemore Cole, Mary Ellen McLemore Hicks, Arlis McLemore, Avalone Payne Dawson, Horace Payne (Buddy), Floyd Payne (Fatty), Barbara Ann McLemore and Benny Lee McLemore.
He is survived by: his wife Ora Lee Cole McLemore; his children, Laura McLemore Davis (Willie B.), Joe Harold McLemore and Evelyn McLemore Cheairs; and his sister-in-law Lamoria Cole Perry. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
