She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Uptain and Orell Bibb Uptain; her son Melvin Hindman Jr.; and her siblings, Ray Uptain, David Uptain and Paula Uptain Chadwell.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Wright Hindman, Sr. of Lynnville; her daughter Dina Daniels (Mike) of Lynnville; her brothers, Wesley Uptain and Beal Uptain; her grandchildren, Dara Crabtree (Keith), Fara Paul (Seth), Chad Brown and Jordan Hindman; and her great grandchildren, Preslee Crabtree, Emeree Crabtree, Kade Brown, Isley Kate Hindman and Rhett Paul. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
