He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Harville and Lou Bernice Chandler Dile; his son Terry Dile; and his siblings, Billy Joe Dile, Charles Dile and Joyce Dile.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Grimes Dile; his sons, William Dile, Jr. of Lyles and Barry Dile of Lyles; and his brother Roger Dile. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
