He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Elijah and Zular Mae King Wilson; his wife Ella Bea Hutcherson Wilson; and his siblings, Louise Capps, Abbie Elizabeth Wilson, Thelma Harrington, James Wilson, Jr., Herman Wilson, Auvie Wilson, Dougie Wilson and David Wilson.

He is survived by: his children, Tina Stone, Denise Cart (Sanford), Dana Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Doug Wilson (Anita); and his brother Cecil (Carol). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grand children and 6 great great grandchildren.
