He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Curtis Givens Sr. and Patsy Lorett Jenkins Givens; his son Nick Givens of Lyles; his sister Jennifer Jacobs (Patrick) of Centerville; his nephew Slade Jacobs; and his cousin Ronnie Givens. He was also cherished by friends, and family.

He was the director for several years and was instrumental in the development of the fields after their donation.
