She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos McFarlin and Myrtle Lawson McFarlin; her husband Clarence Wilson Tarkington; and her siblings, Raymond McFarlin, Charles McFarlin, Ollie McFarlin, Elsie Lancaster, Bertie Lee Kellough and Mildred Sanders.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Maddox (Michael) and Pam Allen (Frankie); and her grandchildren, Josh Winters, Chris Allen, Jenny Smith, Amy Myatt, Sarah Allen, Dillon Allen, Rowan Winters, Olivia Winters and Katlyn Myatt.
