He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Hankins and Velma Hankins; his siblings, Helen Weaver and Ricky Hankins; and his great grandchild Abel Alexander Blair.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Hankins; his daughters, Sonya Blair and Jeana Johnson; his grandchildren, Miranda Allen (Robert Scott Allen), Tyler Blair and Chelsea Clevenger (Joshua Clevenger); his great grandchild Alaina Allen; and his siblings, Vicki Elliott, Virgie Kitts, Bill Hankins and David Hankins.
