He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Rass" and Joise Vernis Chesney; and his nephew Little Rick Houston. He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Graves; his son-in-law Lynn Graves; his grandsons, Zachary Graves and Logan Graves; his significant other Kay Chesney; and his siblings, Carl Chesney, Carolyn Chesney, Larry Chesney, Ellen Chesney and Kathy Houston (Rick).
