She was predeceased by: her parents, John Black and Virginia Emmaline Ross (late Ervin Glanton); and her children, Shirley Patterson and Ralph E. Hooper. She is survived by: her son Nathaniel L. Hooper; her grandchildren, Reginald Hooper, Ieisa Hooper, Myron Hooper, Lashae Hooper, Nathaniel Hooper and Lydia Loudermilk; her sister-in-law Audrey Glanton; and her friends, Helen Walters and Margaret Dunn. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.
