He was predeceased by: his parents, George Snowden and Betty Snowden of Rockford; his parents-in-law, C. J. and Fay Johnson, Jr. of Knoxville; his grandson Jacob Heimerman of Knoxville; and his brother-in-law Wayne Adams of Knoxville.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Snowden of Louisville; his daughters, Stacy Schmidt (Bob), Gina Owen (Jim) and Susan Stout (Steve); his grandchildren, Derek Schmidt, Noah Heimerman, Tildon Haynes (Sarah), Leland Schmidt, Maegan Helton (Chase), Siler Haynes (Virginia), Haley Gordon (Ben) and Anna Long (Gabe); his great grandchildren, Kyra Lee, Gabriel, Thea, Sophie, Tate, Lawson, Bramley, Easton, Charleston Grace and Tripp; his brother Davis Snowden; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Adams, Alan Johnson and Duane Johnson (Melody).
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee - East Tennessee Office or Haven House.
