He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Poplin and Ellen Poplin; his sister Delores Poplin; and his grandson Joshua Renfro. He is survived by: his wife Merle Poplin; his children, Steven Patterson, Stephen Floyd and Kathy Chance; his sisters, Joy Miller and Teresa Cooper; his grandchildren, Ashley Valentine, Daniel Barnes and Donald Chance (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Grace, Ally, Easy, Earlee, Isaiah, Trinity and Charlie Rose.

Due to the current uptick of the Covid-19 virus. The family has requested that all attendees please wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
