He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Griffith and Beatrice Griffith; and his brother Arthur Griffith. He is survived by: his wife Jean Yoder Griffith; his sons, Dr. Brian Griffith (Tracy Griffith), Dr. Mark Griffith (Holly Griffith), Dr. Drew Griffith and Dr. Todd Griffith (Gail Griffith); his grandchildren, Michael, Caitlin, David, Ryan, Adam, Leanne, Ashley, Brett, Blake and Colton; and his brother Donald Griffith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children or Trinity United Methodist Church.
