He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rev. Frank and Nola Shown; his stepfather Sonny Alexander; his uncle Rev. Donald; and his aunt Sherry Shown.

He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Ferguson (Dennis) of Midtown, TN; his brother Jonathan Shown of Loudon, TN; his niece Adelyn Shown; his stepsiblings, Shawna Silcott (Nate) of Knoxville, Angie Cooper of East Brainerd, TN and Jason Alexander of LaFayette, GA; his former wife Rachel McKinney; his stepchildren, Hayzel and Olyver; and his close friend Ann.
