He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Marshall Cockrel and Opal Lowery Cockrel; his former wife Carolyn Baker Cockrel; and his brother Edward "Eddie" Dale Cockrel. He is survived by: his wife Pennie Livingston Cockrel; his daughter Vicki; his son-in-law Joe Carr; his daughters, Angela Cockrel and Monica Dean; and his sister-in-law Melba Cockrel of Metropolis, IL. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
