He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Dewey and Addie Belle Raley (Harrell) of Maynardville; and his sisters, Jean, Jane and Brenda Sue Raley.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Ann Raby Raley (Mitchell); his son James Robert; his daughter-in-law Marsha Raley; his daughter Cynthia Kaye Hunley of Maynardville; his stepdaughter Kelly Lynne (Mark Manis) of Tampa, Florida; his grandchildren, Robert Hunter Raley of Knoxville, Tasha Raley of Maynardville, Kasey Hunley of Sharps Chapel and Grace Linsey Manis of Tampa; his stepgrandchildren, Chelsea Webb of South Carolina, Justin and Kayla Holbrooks of Dandridge; his great grandchildren, Tiahna, Jaycee, Addy, Finn, Peyton, Chloe and Jennings; his sister Faye; and his brother-in-law Glen Travis of Maynardville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
