She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Dotson and Sarah Dotson (Chapman); her husband Orion Phillips; her daughter Elizabeth Ann Compton; and her siblings, George Dotson, Estil Dotson, Betty Slone and Evelyn Schwartz.
She is survived by: her children, East of Tennessee, Kent (Debra Phillips), Marcus Phillips (Tia Finney), Barbara (A. J. Phillips), Paige (Don Woosley), Paula (Chinie Smallen) and Gwen (Mike Watson); and her sister June Zettler. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
