He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Myers, Sr. and Melissa Katherine Pitts Myers; his wife JoAnn Winfree Myers; and his granddaughters, Amy Shaw and Mandy Shaw Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Al Myers of Jackson, TN, Michael (Tammy Myers), Marsha (Wayne Johnson) and Patricia Myers (Burt Tackaberry) of Knoxville; and his grandchildren, Angela Wilburn (Mark), Wally Shaw (Jackie), Randy Shaw, Lindsey Green (Sean), Drew Walker (Monique), Sonja Hamilton (Nathan), Christina Haley and Stephanie Patton (Justin). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
