He was predeceased by: his father Charles Hayes; his wife Betty Nottingham Clark; and his siblings, Paul, Gaines, Carl, Larry, Ella Sue and Betsy.
He is survived by: his children, Deb (Decherd Guess), Lisa (John Leite), Gary (Melissa Johnson) and Margaret "Libby" Wade; his friends, Ricky Bridges, Sandra Watts and Eddie Gang; and his caregiver Christy Thompson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren.
