He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Knepp and Virginia Knepp. He is survived by: his wife Merlyn Knepp; his children, Jill Broer (Dirk) and Charles Knepp (Corrine); and his grandchildren, Griffin, Isabelle, Torie, Samantha and Drake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
