He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin C. Simmons and Christine Simmons (Smith); and his brothers, Allen Love, William Smith and Jan Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Rayven (Blake Chaney), Kiah (Troy Bachman), Charlotte and Zach Simmons; his grandchildren, Cayden and Brock Chaney; his sisters, Michela Lewis, Pamela Wells and Linda Coffey; his close friend Jane Wilkerson; his cousin Emmie Robinson; and his former wife Marian "Pat" Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
