He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Eller Kirkland; his parents, Edgar Kirkland and Dora Kirkland; and his sisters, Gerda Kirkland, Alma Bingham (Bill) and Beulah Watts (Zenith).
He is survived by: his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Valeria Kirkland; his grandchildren, Paula Johnson (Jonathan) and Leonard Kirkland; his great grandchildren, Hazel and Magnolia Johnson; his sisters, Margaret Kirkland and Elizabeth Simpson (Joe); and his sister-in-law Carolyn May (George). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
