He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Minnie Hooker (Brooks); his wife Imogene Webb Hooker; and his son Dr. Michael Hooker. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Dale Hooker (Mary Beth) and Sherry Smith; his daughter-in-law Donna Hooker; his grandchildren, Kyle Hooker (Adrienne), Ryan Hooker (Jessica), Angela Hooker, Stephanie Funderburk (Ross), Michelle Wheat (Kurtis), Bradley Smith (Jennifer) and Wesley Smith; his great grandchildren, Bradyn, Bryce, Brylee Hooker, Ellison, Daniel Hooker, Lucy, Charlie, Henry, Archie Funderburk, Andi, Porter, Deacon Wheat and Sloan Smith; and his sister Martha Ann Johnson.
