She was predeceased by: her son John J. Sams; and her sister Susan Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Chad (Lisa Fontanarosa) and Knoxville; her grandsons, Taylor Zane Sams, Loudon, Nicholas Gino Fontanarosa and Knoxville; her siblings, Peter Fontanarosa of Niagara Falls, NY, Anne (Bill Lyons) and Baltimore, MD; her brother-in-law Richard Smith; her niece Stacy Smith Hoover; her nephew Adam Smith of New York; and her close friend Yvonne Conatser.
