She was predeceased by: her husband James Roger Tate; her parents, William "Bill" Smallen and Geneva Smallen; and her sister Lillian Patricia Smallen. She is survived by: her siblings, Virginia Houston, Carolyn Knox and Joe Smallen (Millie); her niece Jennifer Jones (Rabbitt Graves); and her sister-in-law Margie Fagg (Floyd). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
