He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Grooms and Hattie Hughes Grooms; his sister Grace Lumpkins; and his nephews, Wayne and Chuck Lumpkins.
He is survived by: his wife Della Myers; his son Doug Grooms (Kim); his sisters, Lucille and Sue Simbeck Loretto; his grandson Josh Law Portland (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Nate Law and Abbie Law. He is also survived by Several Nieces & Nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Loretto Untied Methodist Church Building Fund.
