As Joan departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joan. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth W. Shelton; and her parents, R. D. Killen and Aulean White Killen. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth "Kenny" Shelton (Lori), Lisa and Christy Green St; her siblings, Larry Killen Cleveland (Roseanne), Gary and Genevieve Newton Loretto; and her grandchildren, Justin Johns, Brandon Johns and Ashley Abercrombie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Loretto Methodist Church (213 W Commerce St, Loretto, TN 38469). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
