She was predeceased by: her father James Hammond; her husband Harold Nelson; her mother Laura Newton Hammond; her siblings, Jimmy Hammond, Betty Hammond and Martha Rollins; and her son-in-law Nick Lowe.
She is survived by: her daughter Anita Lowe; her grandchildren, Laura Terry (Mark Terry) of Bowling Green, KY., Nick Lowe (Megan Lowe) of Bowling Green, KY. and Sarah Cox (Joe Cox) of Henderson, KY.; her sister Faye Lynch of Centerville, TN.; and her great grandchildren, Kaylin Terry, Jaxson Terry, Grayson Terry, Emma Claire Lowe, Addison Lowe, Mason Terry, Aiden Lowe, Laurel Cox, Deacon Cox and Liza Kate Cox.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Loretto Methodist Church.
