He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Taylor Hanks and Nellie Ferguson Hanks; and his sisters, Joy Jones and Oneita Burnette. He is survived by: his children, Toni Hanks of Tompkinsville, KY, David Hanks (Tammy) and Michael Hanks; his grandchildren, Colton, Ciara Hanks, Destin Smith and Atiana Spivey; his parents-in-law, Beth Rye, Darryl, Billie Mayberry, Stacy, Beth Sharp and Doug Sharp (Lindsey); and his close friends, Tony Spear, Chris Spear and Steve Spear.
