She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Vess and Mary Alice Vess (Williams). She is survived by: her children, Sharon Watkins (John), Arnold Carpenter (Cheryl), Rick Carpenter (Beth) and Jeff Yarbrough; her brother Homer Vess; her husband Jim Yarbrough; and her siblings, Luceal Pilgrim, Andrew Vess, Henry Vess and Wilburn Vess. She is also survived by 24 Grandchildren; 36 Great Grandchildren.
