Though Christine may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall B. Wheeler and Carrie M. Maynard Wheeler; her husband James R. Maxwell; her children, Faye Dodd and John Lee Horton; and her stepdaughter Delores Ann Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Connie Smith (Tommy) of Springfield, TN.; her stepdaughter Tina Huff of North Carolina; and her sons-in-law, Myk Dodd of Knoxville, TN and Ray Smith of Livingston, TN.. She is also survived by Ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home (71 E Main St, Gordonsville, TN 38563). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
