He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Josephine Lineberry Holder and John Jefferson Holder; and his siblings, Winfred, Bill Holder, Rothie Nell Holder Moore and Hazel Holder.

He is survived by: his wife Villa Sue Prater Holder; his children, Vickie Holder Lineberry (Charles) of Clifton, TN, Jeffrey Holder of Ledbetter, KY and Jason Holder (Brandi) of Clifton, TN; his brother Hollie "Babe" Holder of Clifton, TN; his grandchildren, Victor Lineberry, Amber Lineberry, Bree Holder and Gavin Holder; and his great grandchildren, Nate and Sophie Lineberry.
