She is survived by: her husband Dr. James Staples; her children, Marion Staples of Lansing, James J. Staples (Laura) of New Hudson and William J. Staples (Patricia) of Houghton; her grandsons, James J. Staples II (Ashley) of Northfield and William Travis Staples of New Hudson; her brother James Metcalf (Evelyn) of Massachusetts; and her nephew Richard J. Staples (Vickie) of DeWitt. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, several other nieces and nephews.
