He is survived by: his wife Colleen LaFee (Hamric); his daughters, Nicole Cates (John Taylor), Sara Cates and Virginia Sladko (Joe); his grandchildren, Jailyn, Brooklyn and Harley; his stepchildren, Justin LaFee (Lindsay) and Julie Miley (Tim); his stepgrandchildren, Draydon, Preston, Tanner, Becken, Noah, Colton and Jolene; and his siblings, Lillian Cates (Dana Worth), Barbara Cates, Ron Gates (Sally), Roberta Cates, Will Cates and Veronica Pheasant (Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
