He was predeceased by: his parents, John Collins and Dorothy Collins (Mayles); his wife Carolyn L. Heffken; and his siblings, Robert Collins, Karen Barnes, John Butsko and Judy Bergman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl (John Sowash) of Williamsburg and Carol (Greg Williamson) of Livonia; and his brother Ed Collins (Dorothy). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
