He was predeceased by: his fathers, Floyd Hartley and Royal Hartley (Pike); and his siblings, John "Jack", Margaret Pitman, Carol Boyer and June Atkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Lawson; his sons, Robert Hartley (Glenda) of Fenton and William Hartley (Carol) of Grand Blanc; and his grandchildren, Tracee Senter (Holly) and Nicholas Hartley (Amy). He is also survived by several step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
